Professional Summary
Lee Asbridge has over 46 years of experience in the businesses of insurance, reinsurance and receiverships. Claims experience includes adjustment, settlement and adjudication of primary and excess claims of all property and casualty lines of business including long term exposure, professional liability and inland and ocean marine coverages. Reinsurance experience includes ceded, assumed and retroceded business as a direct writer and intermediary including 10 years as founder, principal and president of a reinsurance intermediary firm. Lee has successfully utilized that experience with receiverships since 1991 part time, 1994 full time, and since 2006 as an independent consultant to evaluate and adjudicate claims, recover reinsurance collectibles, and assist in litigation, arbitration and mediation of contested claims or recoveries to facilitate estate closure.
| 07/2006 – Present | Independent Consultant to assist the Oklahoma Department of Insurance with evaluation and adjudication of professional liability claims in the Supervisory Court, determine and collect reinsurance balances, testify as fact witness in litigation and arbitration, and serve as liaison with the Oklahoma Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association to facilitate estate closure. | |

| 02/1997 – 07/2006 | Reinsurance Manager. As Reinsurance Manager the first order of business was to reorganize the reinsurance department and reduce out sourced staff. Managed the day to day activities of reinsurance personnel for companies in receivership. Lines included all forms of property and casualty primary and excess business and assumed, ceded and retroceded business, U.S. domestic and foreign carriers. Departmental duties included overall administration and technical guidance in contract analysis, claim evaluations, accounting and collections from reinsurers and retrocessionaires. |

| 09/1996 – 02/1997 | Assistant Manager/Long Term Exposures. As Assistant Manager/Long Term Exposures (LTE) supervised and trained staff to evaluate and estimate LTE claims. LTE claims included environmental impairment, malignancies, toxic and other mass torts. With substantial training and team effort costs were cut by eliminating consulting services, appropriating and developing experienced personnel to analyze, estimate and adequately reserve exposures thereby initiating the company’s first in house LTE unit. |
